A 2013 editorial within the American journal Anesthesia and Analgesia said that acupuncture studies developed inconsistent effects, (i.e. acupuncture relieved suffering in certain disorders but had no outcome in other quite equivalent problems) which implies the existence of false beneficial benefits.
